Payment.Guru is a payment gateway search tool that helps businesses find a solution that works for their product or service. The user complete a form which asks for information related to the type of product they sell, their location, the payment options they would like to offer and other payment related details. Once the answers have been submitted with an email address, Payment.Guru supplies a list of possible options. Filters are available so the user can sort by rates and fees, payouts, fines, features, partnership program options and hold size and duration details. Search results are presented with a short overview of the company, their transaction fees, monthly fees, payment systems and overall user rating.Show more screenshots »
Payment.Guru offers a convenient service, but one that hasn’t been noticed much on the web yet. The application is appealing, but offers a relatively basic service that isn’t really necessary for a business searching for a payment system. Most users would be more likely to perform a Google search and narrow down their options from there. While the business-focused criteria and filters are appealing, it doesn’t seem to be enough to get users talking about Payment.Guru.
Payment.Guru works like other online search tools. User enter criteria and are given a list of results. The main difference is the way the application focuses on payment systems for businesses. A company can search for a payment solution and see many results with convenient filter options and a short overview of each service.
Payment.Guru offers a very simple yet personable design that’s easy on the eyes. The color scheme and fabric textured background add variety while the clutter-free questions and search results keep the experience pleasant. Even a novice user can figure out how to use Payment.Guru to find potential payment systems in a matter of seconds.
To get started, new users can click the green “Start Wizard. It’s Free.” Button found near the center of the Payment.Guru homepage. The user is asked to choose their industry or area from three buttons which include options like digital goods, tangible goods and high-risk. Next, the user is asked for their country of incorporation, whether they have an existing payment solution and to choose which payment methods they would like to have available. After confirming whether they want recurring billing options, the user is asked to provide an email address. The user must complete email verification before logging in.
Payment.Guru is available to all visitors for free. There are no subscription fees or other charges for using the search. And there really shouldn’t be considering that the application is doing what many other free apps do, but with a focus on payment systems. Of course users will have to pay for whatever payment solution they choose, but this is between the user and the third party company and not Payment.Guru.
Payment.Guru can save anyone who needs a payment system for their business a lot of time. The search function is nicely designed and very quick to use. The only annoyance is the email aspect. The user is required to give their email address when using the wizard. This produces a username and password which might be ok for some, but others may be put off by being forced to sign up for what amounts to a search engine. Of course signing up allows the user to save favorites, but other than that the functionality is very minimal.
